Senior Web Developer Opportunity

For a client in Mechelen, we are looking for a Senior Web Developer.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer who not only has technical expertise but also a strong creative vision. As a senior developer, you will play a leading role in developing both the technical and visual aspects of our front-end applications (Web, PWA, etc.). You will work closely with internal stakeholders to advise and inspire them about technology, design, and UX. Additionally, you will collaborate with your marketing colleagues to properly integrate SEO, marketing automation, and analytics, ensuring our projects perform optimally end-to-end. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine technical and creative expertise while also playing a strategic role in advising and inspiring stakeholders. You will hold a key position in creating innovative digital solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Web Development (Focus on Frontend): Lead in designing and developing robust, scalable, and user-friendly web applications. Experience with Umbraco as a content management system and VUE.js as a framework for progressive web applications. Implement API integrations on top of our Azure back-end system. Optimize performance, security, and scalability of web applications. Monitor the proper functioning of systems post-delivery and keep underlying technologies up-to-date.
• UX/UI Design and Creative Input: Collaborate with stakeholders on UX strategies and develop user-friendly interfaces that align with their brand identity. Actively contribute to the design process by creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs and translating them into code.
• SEO, Marketing Automation, and Analytics: Stay updated with technical best practices in SEO to improve online visibility and search engine performance. Stay updated with technical best practices in analytics implementations (e.g., Google Analytics). Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement digital strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and ROI.
• Stakeholder Management and Client Advisory: Serve as the technical and creative advisor for internal clients, inspiring them with new ideas and innovative solutions. Proactively communicate about project goals, progress, challenges, and technical possibilities.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in frontend web development.
• Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles and the ability to develop customer-oriented, visually appealing web applications.
• Proven experience with SEO and proven success in improving the search engine performance of web applications.
• Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo) and knowledge of integrating these tools with web applications.
• Expertise in analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, both in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and in presenting ideas and solutions.
• Ability to work independently, but also effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
