Medior Test Analyst Position

Description:

As a Test Analyst, you will engage in various activities of the scrum team from an end-user perspective. You will lead, prepare, and execute necessary steps to ensure that the features and user stories developed by the team meet the entry criteria for Regression Testing and can be deployed in the Acceptance environment and eventually in Production. Your Scrum team manages Digital Solutions enabling Digital Interactions with Prospects, Customers, and Partners. In this context, you will organize and test with a “pixel perfect” mindset the different User Experience Journeys.

Tasks:

• Contribute to PI and sprint planning.
• Estimate (in Story Points) the effort needed to test the features and user stories from a sprint.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to clarify business requirements.
• Work closely with the team to identify and anticipate potential risks and problem areas during development.
• Reduce uncertainties and questions developers may have while coding.
• Ensure all pre-requisites are met to start testing: sufficient and relevant test data, available and operational environment, and working connections between all technologies.
• Create or select test cases relevant for ongoing development.
• Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks.
• With support from developers and analysts, execute functional and integration tests.
• Ensure regression testing entry criteria are met at the end of the sprint.
• Follow standard testing methodology (Agile MVP test approach).
• Upload test evidence in Jira.
• Log and report defects in Jira, follow up on defects, and escalate issues when needed.
• Consider potential workarounds when defect resolution cannot be met in due time.
• Organize face-to-face demos for new features and functionality.
• Work to meet sprint schedules, timelines, and deadlines.
• Consider the possibility of automating some test cases.
• Participate in go/no-go decisions based on figures and facts.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies such as daily scrums and sprint retrospectives.
• Align with the regression test team on tests to be executed during regression testing.
• Assist the regression team if automated cases need adaptation to new functionality.
• Be the SPOC for the regression test team during regression testing.
• Organize external intervention if needed for testing.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in testing practices, preferably in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Affinity or testing experience in Web, Mobile Applications, and UX in general.
• Strong understanding of modern Test technology solutions (e.g., Test automation on different levels, Test data management tooling).
• Fluent in French and/or Dutch, and English.
