Job Title: Tribe Test Engineer

Mission Context:

The Tribe TCF is looking for a Tribe Test Engineer to support the delivery of features under your responsibility. You will define Feature Test plans with involved squads and take responsibility for the End-to-End test process, coordinating testing stakeholders inside and outside the tribe. You will communicate on quality, progress, and impediments during the delivery lifecycle and partner with (Cluster) Scrum Masters to ensure an up-to-date delivery plan.

Responsibilities:

• Assist squads in organizing their test activities.
• Align with squads to define their test strategy, automation strategy, and test coverage requirements.
• Ensure squads allocate necessary capacity and time for planned tests.
• Coach and continuously improve test activities.
• Accompany squads in improving their quality practices.
• Improve feature test plans based on relevant quality criteria and risk management.
• Coach stakeholders in gaining increased test maturity.
• Introduce best practices and new approaches in squads (test automation, regression tests, TDD/BDD).
• Foster a climate of continuous improvement within the Tribe Test Engineer Community.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in complex delivery organizations.
• Knowledge of test techniques, types of tests, different test levels, and principles of functional and non-functional testing.
• Knowledge of structured & risk-based testing.
• Knowledge of software development methods and life cycle management.
• Preferable knowledge of functional architecture, application architecture, and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with test and automation tools such as QC, Cucumber, Soap, service virtualization.
