Project Leader for Life Information Systems Division
For a client, we are seeking a Project Leader for the Life Information Systems division. This role involves leading various projects related to underwriting applications and claims management systems. The candidate will work with a Microfocus mainframe emulator in Windows, utilizing programming languages such as Cobol and .NET, and various frontend technologies.
Project Details:
- Start Date: asap
- Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
- Location: Brussels center, 2 days/week on-site and 3 days/week teleworking
Responsibilities:
- Organize project governance, including stakeholders, resources, and communication plans.
- Manage and challenge business requirements in collaboration with architects and business teams.
- Coordinate architecture activities and outputs.
- Set up project budget and roadmap.
- Follow progress of developments and report on progress, timing, scope, quality, and budget.
- Anticipate risks and issues, proposing actions to tackle them.
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders.
- Stimulate collaboration and skill development within project teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Sciences, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-8 years of confirmed experience in managing IT projects, particularly on the application side. Experience with projects exceeding 1000 Mandays is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Methodologies: Experience with Prince-2 project management and waterfall methodology (Agile/Scrum is a plus).
Desired Skills:
- Insurance service experience.
- Data Warehouse (DWH) experience.
- Test management principles.
- Business analyst experience.
