Senior Data Engineer

Location: Luxembourg (Mostly offsite with mandatory onsite presence for 5 consecutive days during onboarding and approximately 5 consecutive onsite days per quarter)

Start Date: 01/05/2026

End Date: 30/06/2028 (with a possible extension of 12 months)

Language Requirement: English (mandatory)

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage technical data governance, including standards, controls, and traceability.
• Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to investigate data lineage and quality issues in distributed systems.
• Review and align service/API data contracts with database models.
• Perform complex SQL operations, including transformations and integrity reasoning.
• Develop data models (conceptual and physical) and map models to services.
• Manage Azure SQL Database and/or Managed Instance, focusing on performance tuning, security, and production operations.
• Automate CI/CD database changes using tools like Liquibase.
• Utilize catalogue and/or lineage tools to enhance data management.
• Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.

Mandatory Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior Database Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in technical data governance beyond basic data management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, including performance tuning and security.
• Experience in CI/CD database change automation.
• Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, and mapping models to services.
