Data Analyst

Location: Brussels

Mission Context:

As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in designing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality data solutions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability. You will serve as a liaison between data providers and consumers, aligning technical solutions with business needs while maintaining strict data governance and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Alignment & Communication: Coordinate input from IT, Data Hub, Compliance, and Operations. Ensure alignment through structured documentation, workshops, and clear communication. Translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions.
• Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including role definitions, quality rules, and access protocols. Monitor and escalate data quality issues proactively.
• Data Analysis & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve data discrepancies. Analyze data to identify patterns, gaps, or anomalies.
• Solution Design & Industrialization: Design logical and physical data models. Develop and data pipelines.
• Process Optimization: Streamline data workflows to maximize reusability and efficiency. Advocate for best practices in data security, architecture, and compliance.

Education:

Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, or engineering. Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics.
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools.
• Experience with reporting/dashboard tools is preferable.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Business Experience:

• Proven ability to capture, document, and manage functional/non-functional requirements for data solutions.
• Knowledge of data security, IT architecture, and financial services operations.
• Hands-on experience with data quality frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
