Mission Context:

We are seeking a Senior External Project Manager to ensure continuity of a strategic Nearshoring program, in close collaboration with a Global Project Manager. The role involves local coordination of Nearshoring projects, Business as Usual (BaU) management for already transferred activities, and operational performance and SLA monitoring. This position is critical to securing business, regulatory, and operational commitments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Governance & Delivery
    • Set up and lead local project governance, aligned with corporate governance.
    • Coordinate with the Global Project Manager to ensure consistency in roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies.
    • Prepare, lead, and follow up on Steering Committees / Project Boards.
    • Proactively manage risks, issues, and decisions, with structured escalation when required.
    • Ensure strict change management processes and proper project documentation follow-up.
  2. Scope, Impact & Transition Management
    • Contribute to assessments, scope definition, and transition roadmaps.
    • Perform end-to-end impact analyses covering processes, organization, financial aspects, legal, compliance, and risk dimensions.
    • Coordinate transition phases to nearshore centers, ensuring service continuity.
  3. Planning, Budget & Capacity Management
    • Define and monitor the overall project plan, capacity, and resource allocation.
    • Manage the project budget, with a consolidated view of costs and benefits.
    • Monitor dependencies between projects, BaU activities, and local teams.
  4. BAU & Performance Management
    • Oversee Business as Usual operations for nearshored activities.
    • Define, monitor, and report on SLAs, KPIs, and performance indicators.
    • Analyze performance gaps and define remediation action plans.
    • Work closely with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams.
  5. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
    • Contribute to end-to-end process optimization, aligned with efficiency, quality, and cost objectives.
    • Capitalize on lessons learned and feedback.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • French: Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • English: Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Education:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, etc.) are an asset.

Experience / Knowledge Required:

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in financial services, operations/back-office, transformation, outsourcing, or nearshoring programs.
  • Technical experience in complex project management, governance, risk, and budget management.
  • Experience in IT-enabled environments/digital processes and multi-entity or international programs.
  • Strong understanding of business, operational, and regulatory constraints.
  • Experience in consumer credit or regulated financial services is preferable.
