Senior Ada Developer

Location: Brussels, 50% onsite / 50% remote

As Ada developer, you will

-              Assist in the analysis and design of new features for our mission critical system in Ada.
-              Contribute to the definition of the service APIs used by other applications to access the system.
-              Develop, and test new features (implemented in Ada).
-              Develop Unix shell scripts used e.g. for test, installation, …
-              Analyse and resolve technical and application problems and participate in maintenance and support.
-              Participate in test automation implementation.
-              Perform peer reviews and provide actionable feedback to improve code quality .
-              Participate in writing of documentation mainly of technical nature (a.o. system requirements, Architectural documents, Operations guide and manual).
-              Provide support to business users (e.g. to clarify the system behaviour or assist in resolving urgent problems)
 
 

Experience and expertise :  

-              Master degree in Computer Science, management information systems, mathematics or 5+ years of equivalent professional knowledge.
-              Experience in Ada programming language or programming languages like C or C++ is required. Although Ada knowledge is a big asset for this position, knowledge of in depth workings of a computer and complex software is more important.
-              You have a good understanding of OO Design and Object Oriented programming.
-              You are used to analyse, debug and solve problems in large complex applications and systems .
-              You are problem oriented and are able to make solution recommendations.
-              ability to identify, analyse and solve complex problems and concepts .
-              You speak fluent English. French is an asset.
-              DB knowledge (Oracle or ...) is a plus.
-              Linux knowledge is a plus.
-              Shell scripting knowledge is a plus.
