Senior IT System Engineer

For a client, we are seeking a Senior IT System Engineer to join their ICT Systems & Infrastructure team. This is a critical role aimed at ensuring the operational management and support of the infrastructure, maintaining network and server efficiency, and ensuring the smooth running of system applications.

Duration: ASAP – 30/06/2025 with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Resolve incidents escalated from the Service Desk or identified by the monitoring system.
• Manage installations, updates, testing, planning, and configuration of the infrastructure.
• Provide flexible support to different time zones based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with local IT teams for technical scoping in datacentre implementations.
• Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in managing large Windows server-based platforms.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, IIS, SCCM.
• Knowledge of VMware Virtual Infrastructure Management.
• Understanding of network switching: TCP/IP, subnet calculations, VLAN concepts, firewall.
• Experience with PowerShell scripts for automation and management of Windows infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Office365 and Azure.
• Experience with the installation of active devices in datacentres.

Additional Qualifications:

• BE CS / IT/ Electronics & Communication / MCA.
• Microsoft Azure Certification.
• VMware Certification (desired).
