Role Description:
We are looking for an expert Software Asset Manager to implement Software Asset Management (SAM) within the organization. The main responsibilities include conducting software compliance inventories, producing compliance reports, supporting purchasing during contract negotiations, and participating in the continuous improvement of the SAM process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct software inventories and produce compliance reports.
- Monitor compliance plans and support purchasing during contract negotiations.
- Define the current SAM situation and gather requirements from both group and local teams.
- Draft SAM maturity matrix and support the organization in defining SAM strategy.
- Implement SAM within the IT organization by identifying stakeholders, creating inventories, and implementing processes and tools.
- Respect group requirements, tools, and methods.
- Master contractual databases and metrics of publishers.
- Coordinate feedback from operational contacts to ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial and contractual impacts of non-conformities.
- Provide support to purchasing in software contract development.
- Support operational teams in software implementation and usage optimization.
- Participate in projects to anticipate software impacts and contribute to process improvement.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience in Software Asset Management.
- Expert knowledge of licensing practices and metrics used by leading vendors.
- Mastery of software discovery tools.
- Advanced skills in data extraction, transformation, and manipulation (Excel).
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting (Excel).
- Knowledge of SharePoint for data organization.
- Experience in ITSM tools and Software Asset Management.
