Description:

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the credit risk management strategy. You will be responsible for refining and implementing credit assessment methodologies for large accounts and strategic suppliers. This position offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of large accounts and suppliers, utilizing advanced financial analysis and techniques to assess counterparty risk. You will act as a key interface between the Credit team, Strategic Business Units, and suppliers, ensuring a cohesive approach to credit risk management across all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a monitoring and reporting framework for the credit risk management function to track compliance with credit policies and assess associated risks.
• Define and implement advanced models to improve failure prediction for large accounts and suppliers.
• Make decisions on one-off requests within the framework of the Credit Risk Policy and Delegation of Authority (DoA), escalating issues to the credit committee as necessary.
• Lead cross-departmental communication and collaboration, serving as Finance’s primary representative in credit-related projects or initiatives.
• Collaborate actively with the Credit Manager to design and improve credit processes by target segment in coordination with other departments.
• Work closely with B2B Sales and Affiliates to understand end-customer needs and propose tailored credit solutions.
• Prepare and monitor Credit Risk Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for presentation to the Risk and CBC Committees.
• Conduct regular risk reviews of the customer portfolio with the Credit Risk Manager, providing assessments and recommendations for policy, procedure, or credit acceptance adjustments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experienced in financial analysis, ideally with knowledge of credit rating techniques and portfolio management.
• Analytical mindset with a high affinity for numbers; proficient in programming tools such as SAS, Python, or SQL.
• Fluent in Dutch and English or French.
