Senior Java Developer Opportunity

Work Regime: Full-time, with a minimum of 2 days per week on-site presence required.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the MutualIT Disability department. The role involves digitalization software development and implementation to automate customer support for Health Insurance providers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop or adapt applications in Java, adhering to development methodologies and user requirements.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of all requirements.
- Translate functional and business analysis into programming language and architecture.
- Collaborate with internal contacts to discuss functional analysis.
- Write programs in the agreed language, maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct Test Driven Development and test programs in an integrated environment using Agile methods.
- Document software and report potential issues, proposing optimal solutions.
- Evaluate the impact of changes on software modules and report potential problems.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance and write test scenarios.
- Test final solutions and document results.
- Solve testing problems and retest.
- Implement improvement actions and best practices in software development.
- Contribute to team development through training and coaching.
Technical Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Java programming.
- Proficient in software such as MQ, IIB (ACE), and Web Services.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Object-Oriented methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA and SVN.
- Proficient in development tools such as SPARX or equivalent.
- Expertise in IBM environments.
- Strong coaching, training, and leadership skills.

- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Advanced coursework in technical systems and continued education in technical disciplines is preferred.
Language Proficiencies:
- Proficiency in French and/or Dutch, with a good knowledge of the other language.
- English is a must.
