Data Engineer

Mission Context:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Engineer to join the OPC Control and Reporting Factory, part of Operational and Permanent Control. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support business decisions. This role requires strong technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Function Description:
Your main objectives are:
- Collect business requirements through various techniques.
- Translate them into an efficient data solution by designing data flows, data models, data stores/data sets, mapping rules, and access mechanisms.
- Analyze the best “golden” sources of data and define the business and technical rules for integration.
- Prototype the solution to support business validation.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Work autonomously while maintaining team alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Distill key messages from diverse information sources for management and negotiate remediation plans.
- Demonstrate persuasion, determination, and a willingness to learn.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience and Knowledge:
At least 4 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.
Technical Experience:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and knowledge of SAS.
- Advanced Excel skills and VBA preferable.
Business Experience:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and synthesize messages.
- Ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal stakeholders preferable.
- Experience in banking or financial services.
