Java Developer Opportunity

For a client, we are seeking multiple bilingual medior/senior Java Developers.

Location: Belgium

Responsibilities

• Correct and qualitative implementation of the stories.
• Efficient communication with various stakeholders such as business/functional analysts and solution architects.
• Ensure full unit test coverage of the code.
• Perform automated integration tests and contribute to E2E tests with team members.
• Active participation in refinements to work out good solutions with the team.
• Create and defend technical improvement proposals to the solution architect.
• Analyze integrations with other parties and systems.
• Consider non-functional requirements when developing solutions.
• Develop technical design.
• Collaborate with infrastructure staff for installation and monitoring of applications.
• Thorough documentation of software without getting bogged down in details.

Profile

• Thorough knowledge of OracleDB, PostgreSQL, Java 8+, Java EE7, Quarkus.
• Thorough knowledge of Jenkins (pipelines), ArgoCD, Openshift, Docker, Gitlab.
• Experience in the development and application maintenance of enterprise-class systems.
• Critical with good analysis and synthesis skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Sense of quality, accuracy, and a no-nonsense mentality.
• Able to work under stress with changing priorities.
• Result-oriented, proactive, and dynamic.
• Experience with (Weblogic) Application servers (WLST’s, Clustering, Deploying, etc.).
• Ideally, knowledge of tools and technologies such as IntelliJ, Postman, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Cucumber, Jira, K6, Grafana.
• NL/FR-speaking with good knowledge of the other national language (team mainly FR at the moment) + EN.
• Agile by nature and willing to fully engage in the scrum story.
• Constantly willing to learn.
• Knowledge of other languages and/or scripting is a plus (e.g., Gherkin, Groovy, etc.).
• Knowledge of low code development (OutSystems) is a plus.
