Test Manager

For a client we are seeking a Test Manager & Test Release Coordinator to join the Move2Cloud project. This role is set to commence on 21/10/2024 and will conclude on 31/12/2025. The position will require a hybrid work arrangement with an expectation of 50% on-site presence and 50% remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the testing team for the Move2Cloud project, ensuring effective monitoring and management of test phases.
  • Oversee cost monitoring, including planning, estimated, and actual budgets.
  • Ensure application quality and coordinate with various teams and tribes.
  • Participate in steering committees, offering support and guidance to staff.
  • Organize testing activities, review deliverables, and refine monitoring tools.
  • Define the role of the ratification team and implement project reporting.
  • Analyze completed projects for experience accumulation and debriefing.
  • Guide testers in testing migrated assets, ensuring appropriate detail and correct test data usage.
  • Identify stakeholders to gather details for test use cases and manage team workload.
  • Coordinate release schedules with the release manager to align with testing timelines.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the testing team, communicating with IT tribe leads.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in banking or IT-related fields.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.

Technical Experience:

  • Mandatory: Proficiency with testing tools and reporting tools, test data management, and creation with data privacy considerations.
  • Preferable: Understanding of mainframe screens testing and basic release processes.

Business Experience:

  • Mandatory: Competence in project management techniques, relationship management within agile environments, and team motivation.
  • Preferable: Knowledge of the loan industry or general banking, and experience in cross-business projects.

Certifications:

  • A certification such as CAST, CSQA, ISTQB, or CMST would be advantageous.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Minimal knowledge preferred, with good proficiency if no French knowledge.
  • French: Minimal knowledge preferred, with good proficiency if no Dutch knowledge.
  • English: Native or very high level of proficiency in writing and speaking.
  • Romanian: Nice to have, but not required.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent relationship-building, commitment, pragmatism, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage cross-functional work, and motivate and direct teams.
  • Proficiency in managing remote and onsite resources across multiple countries.
