For a client, we are seeking a Senior Network Engineer:

Start Date: 01/02/2025
End Date: 31/07/2025
Work Location: Brussel
On-site Requirements: Expectation of 50% on-site work and 50% homeworking

Responsibilities:

• Lead automation and deployment initiatives within the telecom domain.
• Provide best practice guidelines for automation to the squad.
• Develop and maintain tools for troubleshooting and monitoring voice infrastructure.
• Automate and execute operational sysadmin tasks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide a user-friendly interface for automated tasks and scripts.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT and network engineering.
• Proficiency in central telephony infrastructure (Oracle SBC & SIP Router, Cisco CUCM).
• Strong scripting skills (bash, perl, python, powershell, VBA, etc.).
• Experience with REST & SOAP APIs, LDAP, SQL, XML, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of LINUX and encryption mechanisms (SSL certificates, SIP-TLS, SRTP, etc.).
• Familiarity with GIT and CI/CD tools.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Basic awareness of network infrastructure and protocols.
• Understanding of Windows Servers & Active Directory.
• Knowledge of telephony protocols, especially SIP & RTP.
• Ability to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Language Proficiency:

Good command of Dutch or French, plus English.
