Expert in Workplace Platform Server

For a client, we are seeking an Expert in Workplace Platform Server to join the Infrastructure team. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, initially for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension. The role requires working 1 to 2 days per week onsite in Brussels, with proficiency in English and either French or Dutch.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in security features, complex password policies, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Install and manage Windows Server OS, WSUS, and lifecycle management.
• Configure and manage Active Directory, ADFS, and Azure AD.
• Ensure server security using Defender for Server and O365.
• Manage M365 Tenant, Exchange, and special mailboxes.
• Oversee Windows File & Storage and SCOM.
• Collaborate with service owners and other teams for software deployment and security fixes.
• Automate processes using orchestration platforms.
• Develop standards and best practices for Workplace platform server.
• Mentor colleagues in new technologies and practices.
• Maintain and administer existing workplace platform server tools.
• Collaborate with Platform teams, IT Services, and Software Development to solve problems and progress work.
• Participate in problem analysis to prevent recurrence.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Expert knowledge of AD, ADFS, Azure AD, PAM, and complex password policies.
• Proficiency in Defender for Server, Entra ID, and M365 tenant management.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud and public/private cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Excellent programming skills in PowerShell, with basic scripting ability in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience in a large-scale, 24/7 enterprise environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Defender, and Intune.
• Familiarity with industry trends, particularly in cloud and endpoint security.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong focus on security aspects.

Technical Expertise:

• Azure Cloud, GPO, Password policies, Active Directory, Azure AD, ADFS, Defender for Server.
• Creation of self-services for task delegation.
• Windows OS servers.
• Source Control: GIT and GitLab.
• PowerShell, AWS cloud, Azure cloud, Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Openshift.
• Experience with microservices and Cloud Readiness is a plus.
• AWX (Ansible Tower) and Terraform (nice to have).

Tasks and Deliverables:

• Participate in weekly support and continuous service.
• Support technologies related to the workplace platform server.
• Contribute to ICT projects with a focus on workplace platform server technologies.
• Develop the workplace platform server.
