Mission Context
We are reviewing and consolidating our sustainability related strategic efforts and defining a new strategic way forward. We seek external expert reinforcement with a specific background in sustainability, strategy, and underpinning business case development.
Function Description
The Sustainability Strategy Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide expertise on sustainable finance, strategic thinking, and underpinning the sustainability strategy with a business case.
- Develop the sustainability strategy in collaboration with stakeholders, considering objectives, regulatory requirements, risks, and policy.
- Integrate decarbonization aspects into the strategy with involved functions and segments.
- Incorporate lessons learned from the first CSRD and double materiality assessment efforts.
- Integrate customer and market insights into the strategy.
- Establish sustainability performance indicators to measure and monitor the strategy.
- Elaborate an underpinning business case for the sustainability strategy.
- Support the translation of the strategy into an actionable roadmap with measurable goals, priorities, and initiatives.

Education
Master in business economics, sustainability, or equivalent.
Required Experience/Knowledge
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of reporting and related sustainability frameworks (ESRS, CSRD, EU taxonomy, etc.).
- General knowledge of sustainability, sustainable finance, data quality, processes, and the regulatory framework.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends in sustainability and technology.
Business Experience Mandatory
- Knowledge of business in relation to sustainable finance.
- Ability to develop strategic thinking.
- Ability to elaborate a business case in support of the refined strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective communicator able to present content and gain buy-in.
