Senior Technical Architect Opportunity

Mission Context:

The client has embarked on a strategic transition to a modern platform based on Azure Integration Services (AIS) to meet growing integration and modernization needs. Special attention is given to migrating existing integration flows, currently operated via BizTalk Server, to native cloud services such as Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Event Grid.

Mission Objectives:

The consultant will support this transition by:

• Defining a robust and scalable target architecture.
• Considering current operational specifics and constraints.
• Applying best practices for migrating an on-premises integration platform to the cloud.

Main Tasks:

1. Migration of BizTalk flows to Azure Integration Services:
   • Identify, analyze, and document existing BizTalk artifacts (orchestrations, pipelines, maps, schemas).
   • Design modern equivalents with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and API Management.
   • Plan and execute the migration in collaboration with technical and functional teams.
2. Definition of a cloud-native integration strategy:
   • Standardize and streamline integrations between applications, databases, and external systems using AIS.
   • Implement automated workflows via Logic Apps.
   • Configure and optimize Azure Service Bus for message management and hybrid connectivity.
3. Obsolescence management and technological alignment:
   • Participate in the gradual decommissioning of BizTalk Server.
   • Identify critical dependencies and minimize service interruptions during migration.
4. Automation and governance:
   • Develop infrastructure templates for AIS using Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform).
   • Implement governance rules and policies for AIS flows via Azure Policy and Azure Monitor.
5. Support and documentation:
   • Provide level 3 support to operational teams for incidents related to new AIS integrations.
   • Document migrated architectures, best practices, and operating procedures.

Required Skills:

• Experience in migrating BizTalk to AIS (3 years)
• Expertise in AIS implementation (Azure Integration Services) (5 years)
• Expertise in BizTalk implementation (3 years)
• Good knowledge of the following resources: App Service, Application Gateway, Azure SQL Server/Database, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure DataLake/Factory, Spark…
• Knowledge of Azure API Management
• Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture design (5 years)
• Excellent level of French (read, written, spoken), English level B2
• Azure DevOps
• Good knowledge of Azure Active Directory Domain
• Good knowledge of governance tools and principles (Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, Subscriptions, Management Groups, etc.)
• Understanding of the "Hub&Spoke" model and ability to implement "networking" resources (Virtual Networks, Routing Tables, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups)
• Infrastructure as Code: good knowledge in editing and producing artifacts (Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Bicep)
• Knowledge of the TOGAF framework
