Mission of the Job:

The Tech Lead provides thought leadership in their technical domain, offering the best technical solutions to business challenges and requirements. They drive innovation, take technical leadership across multiple squads, ensure smooth delivery, and help shape the digital roadmap.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership to one or multiple squads, challenging business stakeholders to align the right technical solutions with strategic business objectives.
• Define how technology is implemented, based on industry-standard best practices regarding code quality and reduction of technical debt, and translate this into the technical roadmap.
• Guide the software delivery community on technical designs and support the refinement of high-level architecture.
• Create and advocate best practices on (re)use and quality standards in their technical domain.
• Provide high-level technical designs, maintain and grow deep technical knowledge, and share it with the developer community.
• Define application architecture for new applications in collaboration with enterprise architecture.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Up-to-date on different technology stacks and able to translate these into innovation initiatives for the technical roadmap.
• Senior expert in at least one technical domain with deep technical knowledge and proven experience in complex assignments.
• Broad view on technology related to the domain.
• Thorough understanding of organizational needs to deliver software at scale in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work with other departments to define improvements to processes and organizational structures to optimize the Software Development Life Cycle.

• Leader in their area of expertise, driving cost reduction and revenue generation by maximizing platform value through reuse, innovation, and automation.
• Shape the digital technology roadmap to enable evolution into a successful digital software company.
• Decisions have a broad and long-lasting impact on the customer-facing application landscape.
• Direct impact on the speed and quality of delivery across the organization.

Minimal Requirements:

• Strong communicator in English.
• Strong background in development with at least 8 years of experience, including the last 3 years in a senior development role.
• Strong theoretical background in software development practices.
• Deep technical knowledge in at least one area of development (e.g., programming language, CI/CD, infrastructure, product stack).
• Necessary certifications depending on the area of development (e.g., LSA certification in Pega).
• Strong analytical skills and experience in design thinking.

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in Dutch/French.
• Experience with other technologies in the same ecosystem.
• Experience in telecommunications or comparable domains.
