Operational Risk Officer Opportunity

Start Date: 03/03/25

End Date: 31/05/25 (extension possible)

Location: 3 days in Brussel / 2 days Remote

Languages: Dutch and French

Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyze operational, technical, financial, and reputational impacts of operational risks (non-IT & non-financial).
• Contribute to the definition of mitigation actions and coordinate and monitor their implementation.
• Support management, process owners, project managers, and operational managers in risk assessment and mitigation actions.
• Monitor the evolution of the company's risk profile and participate in the development of the annual risk management strategy.
• Ensure a professional and constructive approach to risk and crisis management at macroscopic, strategic, operational, or project-related levels.
• Oversee the development and updating of methodology, governance, tools, and training.
• Contribute to the organization of annual crisis exercises and provide feedback after these exercises or any proven crisis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ISO31000 standard (Must have)
• Proven experience in facilitating workshops with business to identify risks related to their activity (Must have)
• Proven experience in operational risk management over the last two years (Medior level, 2 years) (Must have)
• Proven experience in advising and evaluating action plans to mitigate operational risks (Must have)
• Proven experience in operational risk management (Senior level, 5 years) (Must have)
• Fluency in French or Dutch with a good knowledge of the second language (B2) (Must have)
• ISO31000 Certification (Should have)
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluating, and improving operational risk management governance (Should have)
