For a client, we are seeking a BI/Data Engineer.

Project Duration: ASAP – January 31, 2025, with the option to extend.

Project Description

We are looking for an experienced BI/Data Engineer to lead the implementation of a Data Warehouse using Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a central data infrastructure that collects, transforms, and makes data available from various sources for reporting and analysis, supporting decision-making by providing standardized and reliable insights.

Responsibilities

• Integrate a primary data source into the Data Warehouse during the initial phase.
• Implement data models, set up the first OLAP cube, and develop initial reports.
• Develop ETL processes using SSIS to ensure data quality and optimize load times.
• Configure and manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, including performance tuning and index management.
• Implement multidimensional models in SSAS for complex analyses.
• Develop interactive reports on Power BI Report Server.
• Implement security measures and manage user permissions for data access.
• Provide comprehensive documentation and training to administrators and users.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in implementing Data Warehouses with Microsoft technologies (SSIS, SQL Server, SSAS, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and database management.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and OLAP cube design.
• Proficiency in developing reports using Power BI Report Server.
• Ability to implement security protocols and manage user access.
