For a client, we are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with the following profile:

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Antwerpen

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement network solutions and processes.
• Respond to escalated (L3) complex IT incidents and problems and resolve them.
• Define and execute both short-term and long-term strategies for assigned infrastructure.
• Optimize the management of infrastructure and applications using that infrastructure.
• Seek structural improvements to enhance performance, stability, and availability.
• Execute system continuity tests.
• Develop, test, and implement monitoring tools and processes.
• Collaborate closely with local and global technology teams.
• Stay updated with new technologies through seminars and relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Write and maintain procedures for end-users and co-workers.
• Provide operational support outside regular working windows as part of an on-call regime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent through relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
• Strong focus on results and service with a professional demeanor.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Structured, project-driven, decisive, and conscientious.
• Eexperience in a multinational matrix environment.
• Broader IT knowledge of Clients, Servers, and Storage is preferred.

Skills and Certifications:

• Professional technical knowledge in LAN, WAN, WLAN, Cisco, data-cabling, TCP/IP, security, firewall, and VPN.
• Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Experience in DevNetOps and SAFe Agile is a bonus.
• Certifications or equivalent knowledge in CCNP Enterprise, ENWLSI, and ENWLSD.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to occasionally work during weekends if necessary.
