For a client, we are seeking an IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join their team. This position is set to start ASAP and is projected to last for a duration of 2+ months, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems, ensuring stability and service continuity.
• Configure and review monitoring components to maintain supportability, stability, and performance.
• Provide the highest level of support, including coordination, analysis, follow-up, and resolution of incidents and problems.
• Support and maintain server systems (Linux, Windows, ESX).
• Manage firewall, DNS, and DHCP requests.
• Conduct upgrade and security patching for Linux and Windows systems.
• Follow up on open incidents and changes.
• Assist IT colleagues in meetings, specifically regarding Linux and Windows systems.
• Write documentation and procedures, and follow existing procedures.
• Translate technical language to support customers.
• Understand interfaces/flows between systems.
• Automate deployment of scripts and software.
• Manage external and internal partner relations for incidents, changes, and escalations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a Linux and Windows systems environment.
• Good analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate and plan changes and small projects.
• Precision in changes and incidents with regular follow-up.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Experience with Red Hat (versions 5, 6, 7, and 8), Centos 9, DNS, DHCP, Azure, Linux, Windows, VMware, Bash scripting, Powershell scripting, Ansible, GIT, Zabbix, Science Logic, Microsoft Windows 10 to 11, Windows Server 2008 to 2019, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, AAD Connect, and GPO’s.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (Azure, Ansible, Windows, VMware, GIT, etc.) are considered a bonus.
• Assertiveness in relation with IT colleagues and business end users.
• Efficiency under pressure and flexibility with priorities.
• Good communication skills and comfort with Microsoft Office suite and diagramming software.
