For a client, we are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risks.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable SME in MIFID II/R and Conflicts of Interest to join our compliance team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in regulatory compliance within the services sector and a deep understanding of the European regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Regulatory Framework Owner for Compliance Domains, ensuring adherence to market and business conduct regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and advise on the implementation of group policies related to domain expertise.
• Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and deep-dive reviews to identify non-compliance areas and recommend remedial actions.
• Act as a trusted senior advisor to senior management on client protection and conflicts of interest.
• Provide content for training and awareness programs on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Assist in the investigation, resolution, and reporting of compliance-related incidents, issues, and control gaps.
• Responsible for periodic reporting on regulatory developments and compliance actions within the SME’s domains.
• Lead or support initiatives and projects within Compliance & Ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of compliance or legal experience in the services sector, specializing in the compliance domains in scope for the role.

Language Proficiency

Fluent in English (C1 or above). Good command of French or Dutch is a plus.
