For a client we are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer

for a project starting on 07/01/2025 and ending on 06/01/2026. This role offers the flexibility of remote work options alongside the requirement to be on-site in Brussel.

Project Duration:

• Start: 07/01/2025
• End: 06/01/2026

Responsibilities:

• Develop back-end components for a secure online application.
• Design parts of application components in collaboration with the technical lead or senior developers.
• Provide technical coaching to co-workers as needed.
• Ensure adherence to cross-project and project-specific development guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer.
• Familiarity with security and batch processing of large data sets (XML and other formats).
• Experience with Scrum/Kanban, test-driven development, and continuous integration practices.

Skills:

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on most development tasks.
• Keen to learn and enhance development skills.
• Ability to maintain a decent development pace.

Language Proficiency:

• Dutch
• French
• English

Technical Knowledge:

Must have technical knowledge and practical experience with required technologies to commence development immediately.
