For a client, we are seeking a Data Governance Expert:

Start Date: 04/11/2024
End Date: 31/12/2024
Work Location: Brussel
Telework Expectation: 50% on-site & 50% homeworking

Responsibilities:

• Define the mission, objectives, and strategy for the data governance stream.
• Lead and manage a team of data governance experts and/or data quality analysts.
• Collaborate with CoE managers and Senior Management on data governance, quality, and regulatory activities.
• Establish and ensure adherence to data governance frameworks for policies, standards, and practices.
• Serve as an escalation point for governance, quality, integrity, protection, and data compliance issues.
• Work closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve data asset quality and value.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering); a PhD is an advantage.
• Candidates with substantial knowledge of analytics from other academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data governance or related fields.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.
• Strong team player with a quick self-starter and pro-active attitude.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Good analytical and synthesis skills.
• Autonomy, commitment, and perseverance.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Data Regulatory and Privacy.
